Close Protection Convoys

When you have the luxury of of a full CP (Close Protection) team around your principle of "VIP" it's would be great to have at least 5 cars. The convoy complement would be

1) Security Advanced Party (SAP) and this would not usually be anywhere in view and may have left a long time ago to drive and check the planned route.

2) Lead car (of convoy)

3) VIP car (middle - but this can change to avoid obvious VIP spotting)

4) Rear car (of convoy)

5) CAT Car (Counter Assault Team)

This is not the only way of doing things but one of the standard configurations you use in a larger team. Factor in decoys, dispersal patterns, heightened or lowered risk factors and multiple VIPs etc and the scenario can easily change.
